Can't wait until summer?

Neither could we. The Ken (‘nest’ in Hebrew) is our time to come together and put what we’ve been learning into practice back in the city. We, like many camps, are able to create a sort of alternate universe in the summer, but unlike any other camp, we know that developing our campers into the best versions of themselves can’t only happen one month of the year. It’s a practice, one that continues on even into the school year and the Ken is how we ensure that happens. In fact, in most branches of Hashomer Hatzair around the world, there’s only a Ken and no summer camp at all – that’s how important sustained engagement is to this work.

The Ken, like all our programs, is facilitated by the youth themselves.

Ken tuition is $336* for the year and includes access to all 14 Ken events.
*Excluding any rentals required for the Skating Ken.
**There will be no refunds for withdrawing from Ken Programming during the year.

Early Bird Discount: Register and pay prior to October 5th, 2024 (the first Ken), and save $50!

Single Ken: Individual Ken Events cost $25 per participant if not registered for the full year.

Ages: Ken programming is open to youth in Grades 1 - 10 during the 2024/25 school year.

Policies: By registering for the Ken, you and your child/ren agree to adhere to all Hashomer Hatzair - Camp Shomria policies, including the Code of Conduct, which can be found on our website at hashomerhatzair.ca/policies. Failure to adhere to these policies may result in exclusion from programming.

For Grades 7-10, Madrichimot (counsellors) will contact parents for details.
