Family Camp.

Family Camp is your chance to experience the magic of Camp Shomria with your whole family.

Whether you are a Shomria alum excited to introduce the next generation, new to Shomria and seeking a family experience, or camp curious and looking for a way to help get your child ready for an independent camp experience - Family Camp is for you!

Camp will run from Friday, July 31st - Monday, August 3rd, 2026. (3 nights, 4 days)

You'll have a chance to enjoy our beautiful lakefront property, participate in programming (as much or as little as you'd like), spend time with your family, enjoy independent programming for kids and adults, and connect with friends - old and new.

Who is Family Camp for?
Family Camp is for children and parents of all ages. Aunties and uncles, biological and chosen, are encouraged to join too!

Programming will include options for children 3+, adults, and the full family. Children under the age of 3 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Where will we sleep?
Families will be accommodated in our camper cabins or may choose to tent.

Cabins are equipped with bunkbeds and single beds, and adorned with the names of campers through the ages (feel free to add yours!). Please note that washrooms are communal and just a short walk from your cabin.

  • Families and adults who wish to share a cabin should indicate as such on their registration.
  • Families and adults who prefer to camp in a tent should indicate as such on their registration.
  • We have a limited number of cabins with en suite bathrooms reserved for those who require specific accommodations - please inquire.
  • Please note that Camp Shomria is, unfortunately, not an accessible space for mobility devices or those who would find uneven ground a challenge.
What type of programming is there?
  • Enjoy our beautiful lakefront property, swimming, canoeing, paddleboarding, and enjoying the beach and the views.
  • Get active playing basketball, soccer, gaga, and volleyball
  • Show your creativity through drama, music, arts, and crafts
  • Connect with nature through forest walks, spending time in our gardens, and bonfires
  • Rainy day? Have no fear, our rec centre is equipped with puzzles, games, books, foosball, yoga mats, and more
  • We'll celebrate shabbat together with humanistic blessings, challah braiding, singing, and dancing
