The Ken - Our Weekly Programming

The Ken, located at 1111 Finch Avenue West, gives us an opportunity to bring our programs and activities into the city of Toronto. We take the time to plan and run a year-round curriculum for our chanichim (campers)  involving communal responsibility and sharing, leadership, Jewish values, Israeli culture, critical thinking, moral and ethical analysis, tikkun adam (bettering the individual), tikkun olam (bettering the world),  as well as so much more; intertwined with intentional building of group relationships and friendships that last a lifetime.We use Toronto as a tool to actualizing our ideals about social action and responsibility, through projects and initiatives taken on by both young kvutzot (age-groups) and bogrim (older counselors) alike.We integrate our educational and recreational activities with a culture outside the physical ken by having monthly external activities such as skating, gardening, and trips to the Ontario Science Centre. We plan our curriculums around the important Jewish dates of the year - Hanukkah, Purim, Yom Ha'Shoah, Yitzhak Rabin Memorial day, Lagba Omer, and more. Stay tuned for the several new emerging initiatives happening this year for our youth of all ages!

Goodbye Ken Shabbat Potluck

When: Friday, February 24 from 6-9pm
Where: Our Ken- 1111 Finch Ave
Cost: Free, but its a potluck so bring food!
