Chalutzim Gimmel spent the day together playing board games and making origami while waiting out the rain, and then had tons of fun exploring outdoors on a nature hike in the ravine. They listened to the natural world around them, experimented with making music from nature, and talked about being in the "forest" within the city of Toronto.

Tzofim Bet had an exciting day full of discovery at the ROM. A definite highlight was attending a concert in which we pedalled on stationary bicycles to generate the energy to power the sound equipment- the kids loved the excitement and the music was excellent, too. We finished the day off with a reading and discussion on pedagogy and alternate methods of education, inspired by all the information we took away from the exhibits at the museum. All in all a great day!"

Tzofim Gimmel went to the ROM this Saturday. We spent two hours wandering through amazing exhibits, seeing beautiful artifacts from Egypt and Greece before heading a bit farther into the past to explore the unbelievable collection of dinosaur fossils. It was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon and a great prelude to the seminar this coming weekend!

The Yedid kvutza spent a full day together on Saturday. It was an amazing day from beginning to end. Everyone was engaged and enthusiastic right from the get-go and this resulted in a very fulfilling and rewarding day.  Some highlights of the day: a fantastic peula on the political philosophies of Marx, Locke, More, and Machiavelli, and an intense cook-off that led to a delightful dinner!  All in all, Yedid got everything they could out of the day and spent some well deserved time together!
